Hello!

Linnea Songer is an illustrator, designer, jeweler, and metalsmith. She received her BFA from Grand Valley State University with an emphasis in Illustration and an “interest” in metalsmithing.

Growing up on the shores of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Linnea was surrounded by nature. Her mother is an ecologist and her father always encouraged her and her brothers to spend time outside exploring the beautiful environment. This was the root of Linnea’s growing interest in utilizing nature and organic forms in her art practice. For her, research is half of the artistic process and she loves learning new things about the natural world. Linnea hopes to travel more in the future to discover more interesting and diverse environments that inspire her to create!
